Profile Photo, Eve McIntyre, CBT Psychotherapist, EMDR Practitioner, CBT Supervisor, Somerset

Welcome my name is Eve!

I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Supervisor with the BABCP, EMDR Practitioner and Clinical CBT Supervisor with the University of Reading. I have over 12 years experience supporting individuals with their mental health including Depression, Anxiety & Trauma.

I offer 1:1 CBT and EMDR Therapy to individuals aged 18 and over. 1:1 and group supervision is available to CBT Therapists who are either currently undertaking or have completed their CBT training. â€‹Appointments are available Tuesday to Friday either online or in person.

I am passionate about the therapeutic work and supervision I deliver and I would be honoured to work alongside you.

My Philosophy

Often when we experience emotional difficulties we can feel stuck. Our sense of self and identity can also feel fragmented or at times lost. We understand through research that the most effective therapies will promote and bring about change. The change that we may often seek is a sense of feeling whole and more connected to ourselves, people and places we value. I recognise whilst navigating this we need to feel heard, have a way of making sense of what we are feeling and gain a sense of hope for the future. I hope to offer you just this. I have an adaptive style which would support bringing about change that is important to you. I would aim to adapt myself and the therapy to you so that the support feels bespoke and individualised to you. We would work 'shoulder to shoulder' at each stage of the therapy, at your pace to meet your therapy goals. Together we will navigate any setbacks and celebrate the successes. I would value and encourage your contributions throughout our work together and aim to empower you. I would strive to create a curious, safe and supportive therapeutic space.

Lets meet...
Appointments are available either online or in person.

If you would like to meet in person you can find me nestled on the fringe of Wellington, Somerset. An inviting and calm therapy space awaits.

BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist

I am proud to hold full accreditation with the BABCP as a CBT Psychotherapist and CBT Supervisor.

Full accreditation means I have completed CBT training to the highest level and standard and it enables me to practice CBT in my therapeutic work. I engage in ongoing supervision and CPD and deliver therapy within an ethical framework.

CBT should not be delivered without BABCP accreditation and it is important a therapist holds full or provisional BABCP accreditation if you are seeking CBT.
